Activities Cancelled due to COVID-19
Due to COVID-19, all official Roxbury Mill in-person activities are cancelled for the foreseeable future. This includes regular fighter practice, A&S, archery, and business/social meetings. However, we are working to put together virtual options for many of these activities. Please check our Facebook group or email list for the most up-to-date announcements and virtual activities. Major announcements will be posted in those venues as well as on this website.
March 2020 A&S Schedule
Arts and Sciences activities at Wednesday practices this month are:
- March 4: Revenge of the Stitch Team Planning / Open A&S
- March 11: Swap night! Bring any unwanted SCA-related goodies and share/swap with others!
- March 18: Sarah’s Seaming Technique — Noble Sarah will teach an unusual late-period seaming technique that also simultaneously finishes the seam (are you intrigued? I am!)
- March 25: More Fiber in Your Diet — Lady Ela will discuss different types of fiber (e.g., wool, linen, silk, cotton) and the strengths, weaknesses, and demands of each for different fiber arts (knitting, crochet, sewing, spinning, weaving, etc.). She’ll bring samples; you bring questions!

Wednesday practice cancellations (Dec 2019)
Due to the holidays, Roxbury Mill Wednesday practice will be cancelled December 25 and January 1.
Practice will resume January 8.
Pennsic practice cancellations and August business meeting
Due to conflicts with Pennsic, Roxbury Mill Wednesday practices will not be held on July 31 and August 7. Practice will resume at the usual place and time on August 14.
Also due to Pennsic, Sunday Archery practice will not be held on July 28 or August 4.
The August business meeting will be held on August 18. Please check the Shire Facebook page or email list for information.
