May 2: Cheesemaking part 2! Leonarda DelChiaro will teach us how to make cheshire cheese for the cheese board at Skewered. Class starts around noon and Leonarda and Helena’s house.

May 6: Courtesy, etiquette, and titles

May 13: How to watch a sword fight: Learn the rules and how to analyze what fighters are doing when they are beating on each other, why some shots count and others don’t, and a whole bunch of other things. Taught by Sir Alherin

May 20: Introduction to leather working: Learn about what is involved in working with leather.  This is an introduction and not a hands on class. Taught by Lord Mattheus.

May 27: Skewered! prep: Skewered is soon here and we will be working on any last minute items needed to make the day a big hit.  All hands on deck! Led by Master Ishmael.

April 8: UFOs: Need a push to finish that UnFinished Object? Bring it to A&S for that last push!

April 15: Lucy of Wigan will lead a scriptorium! We’ll have scribal books, paper and pens, and answers for questions.

April 22: Helena Kassandreia will teach nålbinding 101! She will have tapestry needles and single-ply yarn and will show you how to make this very old ancestor to knitting.

April 28: Online Research 101 with Aíbinn of Roxbury Mill

Saturday, March 28 at 1 PM: Learn to etch brass and copper with Aíbinn. We’ll meet at Faye’s house; please contact Aíbinn or Faye for the address. Class will last about four hours so folks have time to etch multiple pieces.

January 14: Not at Tikvat: Virtual class on Zoom! The Crane Herald of Atlantia, Iacobo, will give a virtual intro to court heraldry.

January 21: Learn about the history of etching in Europe from Aíbinn.

January 28: UPDATE: Due to the weather, we are having a virtual open A&S with discussion of Medievalism led by Bran Mydwynter. Check Facebook, Discord, or the mailing list for Zoom details.

December in-person populace meeting

Our monthly populace meeting will be held in-person on December 14 at the home of Lady Leonarda DelChiaro and Lady Helena Kassandreia in Rockville, with an option to attend virtually. Please contact them on Facebook, Discord, or at chatelain@roxburymill.atlantia.sca.org for their address.

Gathering to begin at 4:30 PM with a potluck dinner at 5 PM and the meeting to follow at 6 PM.

If you bring something for the potluck, please also bring a list of ingredients.

December 10: Intro to embroidery, part 2! Lanea will have hoops available if anyone needs supplies. If you’d like to see books on embroidery in a specific time or place, let Lanea know and she’ll see if she has something to bring.
