The March business meeting will be held on March 13, 2019, instead of the usual third Sunday. The meeting will be held from 7:15pm-8pm at the same location as our regular fighter and A&S practice. There will be no social beforehand, and regular practice will commence after the meeting is finished. For location, please see the Recurring Activities page.

Due to scheduling difficulties around the holidays, the shire has cancelled the December business meeting.

The normal site (Needwood Archery range) is currently undergoing renovations and is closed until at least December. As of the end of September, the archery marshals have been unable to find a safe alternate site in the shire or nearby.

We will announce when and where archery practice will resume.

Practice will move back to Tikvat Israel September 26, 2018.

Due to the packed summer schedule, June 2018 business meeting will be held Wednesday June 13 at our normal practice/A&S space, Tikvat Israel Congregation in Rockville.

As a reminder, no outside food or drink (other than water) inside the space.

Practice space is unavailable 2/28/18 and both fight and A&S cancelled.

Due to the abundance of topics to discuss this month, potluck dinner will start January 21, 2018, at 5 pm and business meeting will start at 6 pm at Hamish and Ysabeau’s house.

As a reminder, fighter practice and A&S nights will be held at a private residence 9/20, 9/27 and 10/4.

We are starting knit Tudor flat cap 9/20.  Supplies needed: size 4 worsted yarn and size 7 knitting needles and scissors.

The Shire will be hosting an intro to scribal arts (calligraphy and illumination) at the house of the Minister of Arts and Sciences (MOAS). Also there may be a period cooking hands-on demo.

We’ll start around 11 am and keep going until people are done.
