Welcome to The Shire of Roxbury Mill, a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) that encompasses most of Montgomery County, Maryland. The SCA is an educational organization where members live and experience the Middle Ages and Renaissance by wearing the clothing, cooking (and eating!) the food, donning the armor, fighting with the weapons, playing the music, and displaying both honor and chivalry, rather than reading about them in a book.

The Known World of the SCA is divided into kingdoms which are further divided into Baronies, Cantons, Principalities, Shires, etc. Roxbury Mill is located in the Kingdom of Atlantia, which includes the mundane states of Maryland, Virginia, North and South Carolina, and a piece of Georgia.
